Amenities


- Beds are made prior to arrival. VERY BASIC linens, blankets, comforters, pillows, and mattresses are provided. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding items, especially pillows, for sleeping comfort.


- Bath and kitchen towels are provided.
We recommend bringing paper towels and napkins.


- Fully equipped kitchen with basic necessities, dinnerware, cookware, microwave, and standard coffee pot (no Keurigs).
We do not provide extra coffee, cooking sprays, aluminum foil, or seasonings.


- Each cabin has 1 bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. The Rocks and Polar Express are the only cabins with a shower/tub combo.
Please bring your own toiletries and bathroom essentials.


- Each cabin has an outdoor gas BBQ grill.
For your convenience, extra propane tanks for the BBQ are available outside the office 24 hours a day. If you should run out, just swap the empty canister for a full one, no charge.

 

- Each cabin has an outdoor fire pit. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. Bring some throws or wraps from home to snuggle by the outdoor fire pits or just to sit outside and enjoy a night of star gazing.

 

- Dumpster on site for garbage accumulated while staying on our property. Please bring additional garbage bags, for trash accumulated during your stay.


- Cabins are heated with either propane, kerosene, or both.
None of our cabins use wood as a heat source.


- All cabins have fireplaces (gas or electric).
Fireplaces are for ambience or for back up heat in cabin. The only exception is the Wildwood cabin where the gas fireplace is the primary heat source.

 

- For your comfort, in the Summer all cabins have one window-mounted air conditioner installed in the unit. There are stand up fans in the cabins year-round for your comfort.

 

- If bringing a pet, please bring their own bedding for their comfort in the cabin.


- DVD players are available in all cabins. Guests are encouraged to bring movies and games from home to make their stay more enjoyable.

There is a small playground behind the Rainbow cabins. A few balls and toys are available outside underneath the wooden bench in front of the office to borrow; we just ask that you return items and place under the bench when finished.

GENERAL POLICIES


- Guest(s) are expected to maintain and respect the home they are renting, cabin belongings and the cabins surrounding property.

 

- As our guest, by signing the rental/reservation agreement, you are entering into a legal contract and agreeing to follow and abide by all The Getaway’s policies, rules, terms, conditions, and procedures.

 

- All cabins should be left in the same condition as they were upon arrival. There is a $150 Cabin Rental Authorization/Deposit required on all cabins. This authorization/deposit will be refunded only after staff has confirmed the cabin is left in the same condition it was upon arrival and Guest Policies and Cabin Rules have been followed.  The Cabin Rental Authorization/Deposit will be forfeited if the cabin is not left in the same condition or if Guest Policies and cabin rules were not followed.

 

- When departing please leave beds that were used unmade and put dirty towels in the bathroom hamper.

 

- We strictly enforce our Guest Policies and Cabin Rules that are signed and agreed to when booking. Non-compliance of The Getaway’s policies, rules, terms, conditions, and procedures is a breach of contract, which will result in the Cabin Rental Authorization/Deposit being forfeited and the possibility of being charged additional fees.   

-At least one adult aged 25 or older required per reservation.


-
All cabins are non-smoking. Smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited inside all rental cabins.

 

-You are renting a home; there is no daily housekeeping. We do not offer towel and bed linen exhange at any time during your stay. We encourage you to bring your own towels and linens from home if you require clean towels and/or linens daily.

 

- Check in is 3:00 pm or after. For a fee and depending on availability, early check-in may be available. Please inquire with the office.


- Check out is by 10:00 am. For a fee and depending on availability, late check-out may be available. Please inquire with the office.

 

- Quiet time is between 10 pm - 8 am.



Pet Policy


- Pets are welcome at all cabins except the Rocks for a one-time fee of $50 per pet, per stay.  When booking, select Yes to pets from the drop down menu, then select how many pets from the next drop down menu.

 

-Guests are solely responsible for preventing pet(s) from making excessive noise, being disruptive or aggressive to other guests.  In consideration for other guests, please always clean up after your pet(s) both inside and outside the cabin and keep pet(s) within control.  Dog waste stations are located throughout the property.


- For your pet(s) safety, no pet may be left alone in any cabin for more than 4 hours at a time.  Pet(s) that are disruptive to other guests or staff or causing damage, cannot be left alone and must remain within control.  Subject to availability and for a fee we offer pet sitting, where we watch your fur baby in the office, so you can enjoy some of the areas local attractions knowing your pet is being loved on by our staff.  Please inquire with the office for availability.

 

- Any extra cleaning needed because of excessive fur or waste that is left behind, will result in being charged fees. To minimize the risk of being charged a fee, The Getaway suggests that Guests bring old bedding to lay over any surface that you will be sharing with your pet.

 

- Pets are prohibited at the Rocks cabin

 

Deposits & Final Payment


- A deposit of 50% of the total reservation charge plus the $150 Cabin Rental Authorization/Deposit is required by credit card at the time of bookin. The cabin rental authorization/deposit will only be refunded after staff has confirmed the cabin is left in the same condition it was upon arrival.

Cash, checks, prepaid debit cards, money orders, and foreign currency are not accepted as a form of payment.

 

- The final payment must be made before 12pm the day before arrival.  The balance due will be charged to the credit card on file. Unless other arrangements are made in writing, the guest hereby authorizes The Getaway to charge the final payment due to the guest’s credit card on file. If the credit card is declined and an alternate payment method is not provided by 12pm, this will constitute the failure to have a credit card on file to make the final payment in accordance with The Getaway’s Guest Policies and Cabin Rules and the reservation will be subject to automatic cancellation and your initial deposit will be forfeited.

 

- Upon timely receipt by The Getaway of the final deposit and acceptance of the Guest Policies and Rules, which is done when reserving the cabin online, the reservation is confirmed.  After the final payment is made, an e-mail will be sent with the authorization and instructions on how to check into the cabin since the Office is no longer open to the public, check your junk e-mail sometimes the e-mail goes there.


- A credit card must be on file with the office during your entire stay.


- Credit cards accepted: MasterCard and Visa.


RESCHEDULING/Cancellations


- Reservations must be rescheduled or cancelled at least twenty-eight (28) days prior to the reservation start date or your initial deposit will be forfeited.  This policy also applies to any reservation made within 28 days of arrival date.  There is a $50 reschedule fee if new dates are received and receipt confirmed by The Getaway 28 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date. If cancellation is received at least twenty-eight (28) days prior to the reservation start date, payment is fully refundable, less a $50 cancellation fee.

 

- All refunds will be issued by check and mailed to the address we have on file. Please allow 10-14 business days to receive your refund.

 

- Reservations will be held until 9:00 a.m. the morning following the scheduled arrival date. If the guest has not checked in by that time, the nightly rate for that cabin will be charged, in addition an additional $200 loss of rent fee, and the balance of the reservation will be cancelled.



Rates


- Vary depending on cabin and time of year.


- Can be found on the "All Cabins" page under each individual cabin. Rates can also be viewed on the interactive "Availability Inquiry" page.

 

- Vary depending on the total number of guests. Each cabin has a base number of guests included in the rate, each additional guest is $30/night plus NH rooms tax. Total number of guests includes ALL guests, i.e., adults, teenagers, children, and infants.


- Calculated with a daily rate plus additional guest fee plus NH rooms tax.

 

- The current NH room tax rate is 8.5%, subject to change based on state regulations.


- Visiting guests/pets are an additional fee of $15/person/pet. Visiting guests/pets are prohibited without prior notice and approval of The Getaway cabins.


 

DISCOUNTS


- Stay more, get more:
Valid year-round. Stay 6 nights , get the 7th night FREE! Must stay in same cabin for all nights, lower rates apply.

 

- Stay and Play Weekday Special: Stay 3 nights, get the 4th night for $99. Valid for consecutive nights, Monday to Thursday in same cabin. Promotion not offered during Summer and Holiday's.  Dates excluded in Summer are from Monday after Father’s Day, which is the third Sunday in June, to Monday before Labor Day, which is the first Sunday in September; dates excluded for Holiday’s are for the 4- night minimum on reservations during Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s Eve/Day.
